Swoop Training Group @ Tactical Training College - May 3rd 2026

STG conducts all of their training at the Tactical Training College located in Staffordshire.

The Tactical Training College (TTC) is a purpose-built, stand-alone facility situated in the Midlands. The tactical training centre is used by emergency services, military professionals, special forces & those operating in security & protection, to conduct training across a range of disciplines such as public order & firearms. Facilities include:

  • Furnished search house with camera, light & sound technology.

  • Gated outdoor space for scenario training.

  • working at height tower training facility.

  • Confined underground space training unit.

  • On-site meeting rooms, ensuite accommodation, gym, restaurant, bar & Costa Coffee café.

  • FREE lunch provided with Tea/Coffee

  • On site hotel if you’re travelling to us. (Pre book and extra fee)

Training Day:

  • Arrival 0730hrs

  • Start time 0800hrs

  • Lunch 1200hrs

STG Trauma training.

Medical training conducted by Ian Covering:

  • ABC’s - how to check.

  • Catastrophic bleeding- recognise, treat. ( position, dressings, TQ)

  • CPR- landmarks, practice, post ROSC, ROLE criteria. Psychologic impact behind stopping CPR for provider.

  • Head injury- Signs & symptoms.

  • Chest injury- Wound care.

  • Limb injury- Dressings, TQ, splinting.

All training to be completed first minus rigs, belts, etc., then once deemed competent will be done again in full kit, discuss difficulties if any experienced and ways around them.

Each team member will have a sealed envelope with an injury that will be opened once they are hit, which the rest of the team will then act upon.

STG CQB Training

CQB and weapon handling conducted by Swoop covering:

  • Threshold assessment

  • Stacking

  • Types of rooms

  • Types of entry

  • How to breach

  • And much more…….

Final exercise.

Students will have a mission brief and it’s down to the nominated team leaders to execute the mission. All operations will be conducted in a realistic scenario and will receive detailed debrief at Endex.

Training/Scenario kit list:

  • Eye protection (glasses) no full face masks

  • Ear protection and comms (earmor, comtac etc)

  • No civilian clothing

  • Black/green/mtp/coyote clothing only

  • NO LARPING GEAR or insignia (swat,navy seal, etc) unless relevant to you.

  • Plate carrier preferred but not essential but kit will need to be carried

  • Long gun and sidearm. NO HPA (pref GBB) but AEG acceptable (we will be counting rounds)

  • No two tone weapons

  • Suitable footwear.

  • IFAK for training (your personal contents won’t be used) it will be supplied
